"Joining the antenatal water aerobics class was the single best thing I’ve done for myself and my baby during my pregnancy! It’s a wonderful, fun-filled but thorough workout. I managed to keep my weight gain to a minimum. Besides the workout, the advice and support from the other moms-to-be and physiotherapists was priceless!"

"I have been receiving treatment from Hélène for over a year. Not only is she a very competent physio, she is compassionate and understanding. She also goes beyond the call of duty in helping me reach optimum health. She has become more like a friend."
Patient with Cerebral Palsy
"I have worked closely with Hélène for the last two years. Her approach is very professional and she treats patient in a holistic manner, looking for the causes behind injuries rather than treating just the injuries themselves. I have recommended her to my clients when they needed treatment."
"My daughter is 15 years old and in Grade 8. She has cerebral palsy and gets around in a k-walker (a walking frame).
As she's been going to swimming classes since very young, she is like a fish in the water. She loves swimming. She has so' much freedom of movement in water.
When she turned thirteen, I saw a need for her to start individual stroke training. The Fisio department of Vista Nova told me about Special Needs Swimming Lessons starting at the Cape Town Medi Clinic. I enrolled Mia immediately.
For the past 18 months she has learned the basics of all the different strokes. I am amazed how well her breast stroke is getting on. It is beautiful! She glides seamlessly through the water. It seems to be the easiest stroke for her. She is slowly conquering crawl and backstroke and trying very hard to do the difficult butterfly.
I can see enormous progress since she started with Hélène. Even though it is sometimes challenging for her, she loves the lessons. I appreciate the fact that Hélène challenges her to work hard at improving her style and time.
Being able to swim well has given her a lot of confidence. She even took part in a swimgala at her school last year!!"
